What does the snow in the current northern hemisphere freeze mean for climate change? Nothing. It does mean that the weather is cold and you should rug up though. Then again, you might be a ski lodge member in Australia wondering whether to invest in long term improvements in your lodge in the face of the long term decline in our snow fall.

The disconnect between farmers aware of and responding to climate change impacts and ‘their’ political arm, the National Party, is hard to understand. The Nats seem to be more the Miners’ Party than the Farmers’ Party – ’tis a pity for the farmers that they can’t match the miners for political donations. Is this the answer?
