Re Maelor’s Post of the Day, in the game of musical chairs the rules are pretty clear on what happens when the music stops. Don’t be caught out!

Read ‘How extreme weather is shrinking the planet’ and cry. No one says climate change is happening more slowly than we thought, there’s a catalogue of consequences presented and the forces of darkness are powerful.

Once upon a time you could be confident that someone elected as a representative to Parliament, state or national, would be (i) intelligent as well as have (ii) good standing in the community with the (iii) public interest as their motivation. With Turnbull knowing that too many in the LNP believe that climate change is a fraud, the first doesn’t apply, therefore the second can’t be considered and the public interest doesn’t even enter into it.

Perhaps the Happy Clapper might add ‘no point in flogging a dead horse’ to his repertoire of Aussie vernacular whenever he talks about Adani. See the Aurizon article and their wariness regarding the mines in the Galilee Basin. The whole idea should just be allowed to die. The Newspoll today might indicate that the Clapper is the dead horse.

‘.. I don’t know if the world is going to be much fun a few decades from now when it starts getting hot’. Cape Town’s Day Zero was narrowly avoided for now, but NSW and Qld farmers are looking at their Day Zero now. You’d reckon there’d be some support for sensible responses or you can forget about fun, just try surviving.
